Cultivating Resilience, ForGiving Life: an introductory workshop with Dr. Dalinda Reese

March 29, 2014 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

This is a three-hour workshop introducing participants to the concept of resiliency and the science of forgiveness. The focus is on helping individuals to recognize and tap into their own strength, and to learn ways to move past grudges and make peace with life’s hurts. The material is based on Dr. Fred Luskin’s Stanford Forgiveness Project as described in his book, Forgive For Good, and also incorporates aspects of The New Science of Resiliency from Harvard’s Mind-Body Benson Henry Institute.

Dalinda Reese, MD, MTS, is a holistic physician, a Lev Shomea (Listening Heart) trained Spiritual Director, and most importantly is a fellow human being sharing in this common human experience called life. She is daughter, sister, mother, and soon to be grandmother! She loves quiet, loves to read, loves coffee, loves to move, and loves cultivating deep relationships.

Among other things, her bio includes medical school at University of Michigan; residencies at MCV/ VCU in Richmond, Virginia; a Masters of Theological Studies at University of Waterloo, Ontario; and Forgiveness training at the Forgive for Good Center for Forgiveness Education. A former anesthesiologist, Dr. Reese is fond of saying she is “still in the business of waking people up!”
